> What is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? Is there an unforgivable or unpardonable sin? Can the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit happen today? How can I tell if I have committed blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit referred to the specific sin of the Pharisees in that unique moment (Matthew 12:22-32). They knew Jesus was God in the flesh, yet they refused to acknowledge the truth, so they were never forgive (Mark 3:29). Since Jesus isn’t physically on the earth today, this particular sin cannot happen again.

Today, the only unforgivable sin is when a person continually rejects or denies Jesus despite the Holy Spirit’s conviction of the truth in their heart—past the point of death (John 3:36). After death, it’s too late (Hebrews 9:27).
